Indian actress Huma Qureshi will be making her global debut opposite Gillian Anderson, Michael Gambon and Hugh Bonneville in Viceroy’s House, the latest film from Bend It Like Beckham director Gurinder Chadha, released March 3.

The film, set in 1947, depicts the final few months of British rule in India where Lord Mountbatten (Hugh Bonneville) is charged with handing India back to its people. Qureshi, 30, has had minor roles in several Indian films, including White, Dedh Ishqiya, Gangs of Wasseypur, and featured briefly in the superhero blockbuster X: Past Is Present, in 2015.
